A quick reference to the columns that can be displayed in the wireless report.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
% on time messages | The percentage of messages that are marked as 'on-time' by the gateway from devices that are connected to it. |
Ambient Temperature | The temperature of the area surrounding the device. |
Area | AMS Device Manager Area to which devices are assigned. |
Average Reliability | The percentage of messages that have been received by the gateway from connected devices. Smart Wireless devices communicate with a gateway on a known schedule. |
Control Module | AMS Device Manager Control Module to which devices are assigned. |
Descriptor | Additional information about the device. For wired devices connected to a WirelessHART adapter, the information displayed refers to the wired device. |
Device Tag | The AMS tag of the device. |
Device Type | The model of the device. |
Equipment Module | AMS Device Manager Equipment Module to which devices are assigned. |
Gateway | The AMS Tag of the gateway. |
Latency | The elapsed time of a message from a device to its gateway. Time from the gateway to AMS Device Manager is not included in this value. |
MAC ID | A unique hardware address of the wireless radio in a device or adapter. |
Neighbors | A list of devices that are directly communicating with the device. In wireless mesh network terminology, neighbors are one hop away. If a neighbor is a WirelessHART adapter with no sub-device connected, the name of the device will be displayed, with the text 'WHA' appended. |
Number of Children | Number of devices passing messages to the current device, which are then relayed to the gateway. This information is available for pre-HART7 devices. Moving the pointer over the number displays a tooltip with the AMS Tags of the child devices. |
Number of Neighbors | Number of devices with which a device can communicate directly (without having to relay a message through another device). Moving the pointer over the number displays a tooltip with the AMS Tags of the neighbor devices. |
Number of Parents | Number of devices to which the device is sending messages directly. This information is available for pre-HART7 devices. Moving the pointer over the number displays a tooltip with the AMS Tags of the parent devices. |
Path Stability % | A percentage value indicating how efficiently devices exchange information wirelessly. Path stability should exceed 75% on average. |
Predictive Status | An icon indicating the predictive status of the device. |
Primary Variable | The first HART dynamic variable. |
Receive Signal Strength | A measure, in decibels referenced to 1 milliwatt (dBm) of a device's received wireless signal power. Values below -80 dBm indicate a possible obstruction or distance from a node approaching limits. This column displays a multi-bar indicator indicating the signal strength. |
Status | An icon indicating the state of the device based on the last scan. |
Supply Voltage | The voltage of the device's battery, or the text "line powered" displays. If the voltage could not be obtained, the cell background turns cyan to indicate the last known voltage is being displayed. |
Tag | The short name of the device. For wired devices connected to a WirelessHART adapter, the tag displayed refers to the wired device. |
Transmit Signal Strength | A measure, in decibels referenced to 1 milliwatt (dBm) of a device's transmitted wireless signal power. Values below -80 dBm indicate a possible obstruction or distance from a node approaching limits. This value is only available from HART 7 networks. This column displays a multi-bar indicator indicating the signal strength. |
Unit | AMS Device Manager Unit to which devices are assigned. |
Update Rate | The amount of time between updates the device sends to the gateway. |
WirelessHART Adapter | The AMS Tag of the Smart Wireless THUM adapter connected to the device. |
