Identifies all devices known to AMS Device Manager (through the
last Rebuild Hierarchy operation) below the point from which it is initiated,
and then synchronizes the database with the devices not previously scanned.
Scan New does not synchronize devices that have been previously scanned.
The Scan New Devices operation can be performed on various levels of a network hierarchy , on all the networks on a local station (from the AMS Device Manager icon in Device Connection View), or on all the networks on another station in the distributed system (from a station icon in Device Explorer). The Scan New operation is launched from the context menu of these icons.
Use Scan New Devices when adding a device to a connection point that is already known to AMS Device Manager, connecting a device to a connection point that is already known to AMS Device Manager, moving a device from an existing connection point to another existing connection point, replacing a device with another device, or removing a device.
