Change the range of a device

 
  

About this task

Customize the range of a wireless device to account for plant density that is different than the surrounding area.

Procedure

  1. With a diagram open, double-click the device or right-click the device and select Properties.
  2. Select the Custom Range checkbox.
  3. Select a predefined range or specify a range.
  4. Click OK.
    The device icon shows an asterisk at the lower-left corner to indicate the device has a custom range. Devices with a custom range are referred to as exception devices.
