Export the Trex synchronization file

A Trex synchronization file is created/updated whenever you activate the Trex unit or install updates. If Upgrade Studio does not have an internet connection, the Trex synchronization file cannot be uploaded.

To ensure the Trex unit receives the appropriate updates in the future, it is recommended to periodically export the Trex synchronization file and send it to Emerson at WWCS.CustServ@emerson.com. If you are using the air-gap deployment, you can import the Trex Synchronization file into the Upgrade Studio PC that has an internet connection and then log in with your username and password to upload the file.

  1. In Upgrade Studio, click More > Export.
  2. Under Trex Synchronization Files, click Show Details.
  3. Select one or more Trex synchronization files to export.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Select a location to save the Trex synchronization files, and click OK.
    The file is exported and removed from Upgrade Studio.
